Based on the micro data of China General Social Survey (CGSS) in 2017, the influence of parents' education level on children's income, and examines the mediating role of children's education level was analyzed. The results are as follows. Parents' education level has a significant positive effect on children's income, and the influence degree of father is lower than that of mother. The inequality of parents' education will further increase the income gap between children and generations. The influence of parents' education level on children's income is more significant in urban, female and eastern and western regions. The education level of the children has a partial mediating effect on the income increasing effect of the education level of the parents on the children.
