Taking the 255 core documents on the coordinated development of ecological environment and economy of CNKI from 1992 to 2021 as the research object, with the help of CiteSpace,a visual analysis of the research status, cooperative relations, research hotspots and frontiers, and research trends in this field is conducted, and the hot frontiers and development trends of the research on the coordinated development of ecological environment and economy in China are systematically combed and explored. It is found that since the research on the coordinated development of ecological environment and economy received academic attention in 1992, the literature in this research field has increased sharply in 2004, and the research trend has been significantly affected by the coordinated development policy. Although many scholars and research institutions have carried out research on the coordinated development of ecological environment and economy, most of the research institutions are carried out independently, and the cooperation between institutions is not intense enough; The research methods and topics in this field are diversified, and quantitative analysis methods are mainly used to carry out empirical research. In the future, research in this field will need to be deepened and expanded in green development, clean energy and industrial coordinated development.
