Abstract:With the improvement of living standards, large-displacement motorcycles focusing on leisure and entertainment become more and more popular with the public. Their noise level directly affects the riding comfort of motorcycles. Cooling fan noise is one of the main noise sources of motorcycles, which needs to be focused on. From the perspective of motorcycle riding conditions and environmental noise pollution, a reasonable method for testing and evaluating fan noise was proposed. Taking a 500 cc large displacement motorcycle fan as the test object, using the LMS Test.Lab test system to conduct noise test and analysis, it was clear that the cooling fan noise contributes to the driver’s ears and surrounding environmental noise, and the fan with lower noise of the vehicle was determined through the selection analysis, which improves the riding comfort of motorcycles and reduces environmental noise pollution. Fan noise testing and selection analysis methods could provide references for motorcycle fan matching.
