Abstract:Based on the data of employees in private enterprises in China's comprehensive social survey in 2017, using robust least squares regression and Oaxaca decomposition method, it is found that: The use of the Internet will have a significant negative impact on the wages of employees in private enterprises who have not received education and only received literacy classes/primary education in private schools. The use of the Internet will have a significant positive impact on the wages of employees in private enterprises who have received junior high school education or above. With the improvement of the education level of employees in private enterprises, the use of the Internet has far more impact on the elasticity of wages of female employees in private enterprises than that of men. The use of the Internet will widen the wage gap between female and male employees in uneducated private enterprises. The use of Internet will narrow the wage gap between female employees and male employees in private enterprises who have received literacy classes in private schools/primary schools and above. Therefore, it is suggested that the training of public welfare Internet use should be strengthened to improve women's rational use of Internet, strengthen the cleaning of false network platforms to prevent women with lower education levels from going astray, and encourage women to receive diversified re-education independently to improve their rational use of Internet, so as to narrow the gender wage gap of employees in private enterprises.
