Taking Urumqi as the study area, the spatial distribution characteristics of POI data of public service facilities were analyzed by using kernel density estimation, standard deviation ellipse and center of mass distribution.The results show that: ①there is a big gap in the degree of improvement of various public service facilities, with commercial and financial facilities being the most perfect,cultural and sports social welfare facilities seriously inadequate; ②the overall spatial layout of the facilities is "area + group" , which has obvious centripetal characteristics and shows the highly concentrated distribution characteristics in the main urban area; ③the general spatial distribution direction of public service facilities is "T" shape, and the best service range is basically the same.
