During the integration and development of new-generation information technologies (e.g., Internet) with traditional industries, a number of new application models have emerged, transforming related industries towards digitalization, networking and intelligentization. This work summarizes the general definitions and development models of typical "Internet Plus" applications in fields including manufacturing, agriculture, energy and transportation, in which the "Internet Plus" intelligent manufacturing is discussed in detail. Then, the current situation and common problems during the fusion of "Internet Plus" and traditional industries are analyzed. Finally, the development recommendation to effectively promote further development of "Internet Plus" action plan is provided.
