As one of the top three provinces with the largest economic volume in the country, Shandong has a large industrial volume, but still has some shortcomings in core technological innovation. It is urgent for Shandong to clarify the direction, increase support, and achieve innovation breakthroughs. From the perspective of industrial core technology innovation and development, this article finds that Shandong has a good foundation, but has big problems in basic research and talents. It proposes countermeasures and suggestions for strengthening source innovation and creating an innovation ecology, and put forward the development direction in key areas for discussion.
