As high-tech industry cluster，the?capacity for innovation of Self-dependent Innovation Demonstration Area is effected by the level of the development of industry clusters.Therefor,taken Wuhan East Lake Innovation Demonstration Area as an example and included the index of the extent of the industrial cluster into the innovation capacity,then based on the Factor Analysis to measure the innovation capacity of East Lake Innovation Demonstration and the economic development of Wuhan and verified the relationship between them through Regression Analysis, it showed that industrial clusters promoted its innovation capacity and there is a significant positive correlation between its innovation capacity and economic growth in Wuhan.
