Taking the city innovation capacity as research example, this paper conducts empirical analysis on Guangzhou by adopting factor analysis method and establishing the index system of city innovation capacity. The results show that innovation capacity of Guangzhou is rising from 2000 to 2013, especially the innovation environment and innovation output are increasing rapidly year by year.
