using the data envelopment analysis method, the article calculates efficiency of 13 commercial banks’ in China about 2009-2011. we analysis the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of them, and compare the state-owned commercial banks and joint-stock commercial banks in all efficiency ,we think that listed commercial banks of joint-stock have efficiency higher than that of state-owned commercial banks due to the higher pure technical efficiency.
