Development law and management methods for the advanced national defense research was analyzed and discussed. Based on the development law of science and technology, and research development history of domestic and overseas national defense, the macro and micro development law, as well as the characteristics of advanced scientific research of national defense were analyzed deeply, and the essential laws to promote the research development of national defense and the specialization and integration of modern national defense research were obtained. Furthermore, the reform and improvement in the field of management methods of national defense research with consideration of management mechanism, laws and regulations, management theory, and information managements were discussed, and the requirements for the manager of scientific research were proposed. The research results will be beneficial to the modernization of modern national defense managements.
