In recent years, the rural digital economy of eight provinces in eastern China has developed rapidly, and the economic growth rate is much higher than the GDP of the same period. An index system was constructed based on four aspects of digital foundation, digital innovation, digital industry and talent application. The development index of rural digital economy of eight provinces in the Eastern 2023 region from 2014 to 2014 was calculated by using the entropy method, and the average index of development level of rural digital economy of each province was calculated. Based on the comparative analysis of the quantitative data, some feasible suggestions are put forward for the reason that the development of rural digital economy in Liaoning Province lags behind that in Jiangsu , Zhejiang , Shandong and Guangdong.
