Abstract:The integration of rural industries and the improvement of human capital level are important measures to narrow the urban-rural income gap. Based on the provincial panel data from 2010 to 2021, the mechanism of the impact of rural industry integration on the urban-rural income gap with the help of econometric models such as fixed effect and adjustment effect was empirically examined. The results show that rural industry integration can significantly reduce the urban-rural income gap, and this effect is more prominent in the central region. In the process of rural industrial integration affecting urban-rural income gap, the level of rural human capital plays a regulating effect, and there is a double threshold effect of local economic development level. Finally, some policy suggestions such as increasing financial support to agriculture are put forward.
