Abstract:Parking spaces in urban roads have a direct impact on its capacity. Using the land on both sides of the existing road,the overall scheme design of parking spaces for the comprehensive reconstruction of Tai 'an West Road were put forward. The reconstruction scheme started from the width of non-motor vehicle lane and the parking mode in the road, changed one slab of road width into three slabs of road width, divided a parking auxiliary road under the condition of sufficient reserved sidewalk, and added a large number of parking spaces, which could effectively reduce the influence of motor vehicles on pedestrians and non-motor vehicles, improve traffic operation efficiency, and solve the problem of road traffic congestion and parking difficulty. At the same time, the VISSIM software simulation analysis verified the improvement of the traffic efficiency and the service level of Tai 'an West Road. The research results can provide reference for the design and application of parking spaces in urban road comprehensive reconstruction.
