Building "scientific and technological innovation highland with core competitiveness"is one of the major development strategies of Hunan Province , so it is necessary to scientifically evaluate the development level of scientific and technological innovation. On the basis of previous studies, the evaluation system of scientific and technological innovation development level is constructed. The entropy method is used to assign weights to the data of regional scientific and technological innovation development level in Hunan Province in recent 8 years, and the final comprehensive score is calculated. According to the score results, this paper makes a longitudinal comparison of the development level of science and technology innovation in Hunan Province in recent years, and draws relevant conclusions and policy recommendations.
