Under the new mode of "Internet +" industry development and new industry, the development of cultural and creative industries is bound to be inseparable from modern information technology. On the basis of defining the category of cultural and creative industries in Chang-Jiu region, this paper analyses and summarizes the main shortcomings in the development of cultural and creative industries in Chang-Jiu region. In order to clarify the role of information technology in promoting cultural and creative industries in Chang-Jiu region under the background of big data, the characteristics and functions of modern information technology in promoting cultural and creative industries in Chang-Jiu region are deeply analyzed. Based on the guarantee mechanism to ensure the smooth implementation of the development strategy of regional cultural and creative industries, this paper puts forward relevant research conclusions.
